Trisha
I was running late from my therapy session and I prayed Shaylynn would still be there. Lex’s lawyer was speeding up the proceedings so we would be in court within the next two weeks. I agreed to meet Shaylynn at the Riverfront Restaurant in Manhattan. I wasn’t as familiar with the city as I should’ve been, so I hired a driver to help me get to my appointments.
It was a steamy hot July day, and I was dressed for it. I wore a white halter-top, white pencil skirt, some black and white Chanel stilettos, with matching clutch and oversized sunglasses. My jewelry was blinding the onlookers, including the paparazzi. I put my hair up in a messy bun, and left a few strands out in the back and on the sides of my face. Thank God for those vitamins Dr. Paden put me on; my hair was growing like weeds. He’d been a Godsend in more ways than one.
I entered the restaurant with all eyes on me, but unlike before I welcomed the stares. I looked good and I felt good.
“Hi, I’m Trisha Harrison. I’m here to see Shaylynn Ricks.”
The hostess couldn’t keep his eyes off my titties.
“Ms. Ricks is ummm...right this way...Mrs.”
“Harrison, Mrs. Harrison, Jeff,” I said as he pulled out my seat.
Shaylynn looked so surprised she couldn’t speak.
“Shaylynn, I’m Trisha. Is there a problem?” I asked becoming nervous.
“No, you just look different, nothing like Monique described and definitely not what I seen in magazines or online,” Shaylynn replied honestly.
“Oh yeah, the stressed out woman wayyyyyy behind the man. So far behind, I disappeared and it was all about him. She’s gone. She won’t be coming back,” I said sarcastically.
Shaylynn nodded in approval.
A waitress came over and interrupted our conversation. “Can I get you ladies anything to drink?” she asked cheerfully.
“I’ll have an apple cranberry martini. They are to die for,” said Shaylynn.
“I’ll have what she’s having, and a Cobb salad, extra blue cheese. That will be all for me.” I gave the waitress my menu.
Shaylynn ordered enough food to feed a horse. She couldn’t be over five feet even and weighed about 120 pounds. Her dark skin and athletic build was set off by her short blonde haircut. She was beautiful. Not many people can get away with the hair, but she was rocking it. I was sure she’d blinded a few people on her way in with her diamonds. She was killing her all-white Ann Taylor pant suit.
“So, Trisha, you already know what Lex is offering. I think that’s a pretty good deal. You have no children, everything is solely in his name except for one of the bank accounts. You don’t want this to be messy, do you?” she asked, waiting for a response.
“Shaylynn, I was never with Lex for his money. I was with that man when he owned three pair of pants. However, I do know he’s worth over 600 million dollars with endorsements. I do know he’s the highest paid athlete in the world, and I do know you’re not here to help me.
